Programme

During the Law Faculty Introduction you will get to know your fellow students, discover Problem-Based Learning by working on a case study in small groups and meet our programme coordinators. We have created an informative and interesting programme for you. Please find the outline of the programme here:

Canvas

Canvas is Maastricht University’s learning management system. Canvas offers an online platform to support education. Each course in the UM curriculum has a course site in Canvas to make content available and to facilitate communication and collaboration. Furthermore, Canvas offers functionality for testing, handing in papers, originality checks on papers, discussion boards etc.

Preparation 

We ask for some preparation for the Law Faculty Introduction: 
1.    Read the case study (pdf) + introduction text carefully
2.    Go through the general information 
You can login to Canvas with your UM credentials + password from 19 August on. 

Maastricht Housing

Maastricht Housing is the official housing agency for Maastricht University, Zuyd University of Applied Sciences and the Jan van Eyck Academy. This one platform combines all the student housing offer in Maastricht and is accessible from anywhere in the world. Go to the website and check out all current offers.

Registration 

We would like to prepare for your arrival, so we kindly ask you to register for the introduction week before 21 August. You may have already done this as a result of the invitation you received. If not, you can also use the link below:

Facebook

We can imagine that you would like to learn more about your new study environment or would like to meet fellow students. Maybe you even have questions about the programme, or about how education will be shaped next academic year. 

That's why we've set up a private Facebook group for our new master’s students where you can meet and chat with the other new students. Several of our current master’s students and the faculty recruiter Katrien Vantilt are online to help you on your way to the start of the academic year 2022-2023.
