Manon Moerman (M.)

Manon Moerman (°1990) has studied both history (Ma, 2013) and Law (Ma, 2017) at the University of Ghent, Belgium. Since the first of september 2017 she is working as a PhD candidate at the department of 'Foundations and Methods of Law' on the VIDI-project: "What's in a name? Challenging Early Modern Ideal-Types of private partnerships in the Low Countries (17th-18th centuries)".

Manon will examine the legal characteristics and organizational features of private partnerships in Amsterdam during the 17th and 18th centuries.

Her broader (research) interests mainly focus on the history of (private) law in Europe during the Old Regime.
