Multidisciplinary Conflict Resolution Roundtable
No single discipline can claim exclusive ownership of "Conflict Resolution" as a subject matter. Yet, the usual way in which we study this topic often gets projected through the lens of our own disciplinary boundaries.
The aim of this roundtable is to invite specialists from diverse and eclectic fields to discuss how we can better resolve our conflicts and help those in toxic disputes by broadening our horizons and learning about conflict resolution more holistically.
For our first roundtable, we will have specialists from the fields of experimental economics (Alexander Vostroknutov), applied social psychology and neuroscience (Phil BrĂ¼ll), and private law (Mark Kawakami). We will also host stakeholders from Stitching Trajekt and Buurtbemiddeling (Monique Benning, Kristien Festjens, Nikki van Dijk), who will present us with real cases and scenarios to see whether academics and their knowledge can actually help people in real life conflicts right here in Maastricht.
If you are interested in attending, please register by 5pm on 18 Nov as space is limited
We hope to see you there!
