Macimide Workshop on Citizenship, Migration and Development

The Maastricht Centre for Citizenship, Migration and Development (MACIMIDE) will host its annual Workshop on Citizenship, Migration and Development on 10 April 2017. The Workshop will provide an opportunity for doctoral and postdoctoral researchers working in the areas of citizenship, migration and development across the world to present their research, gain feedback, and expand their research networks. On the following day (11 April) the workshop participants will have the opportunity to attend specialised training sessions focused on key issues of theory, methods and ethics of research on migration, citizenship and development.

The workshops will be organised in four panels along the four MACIMIDE research themes:

- Citizenship and Immigrant Integration
- Cross-border Mobility
- Migration and Development
- Transnational families

Organizing committee: Gerard-René de Groot (MACIMIDE Co-Director), Valentina Mazzucato (MACIMIDE Theme Leader on Transnational Families), Hildegard Schneider (MACIMIDE Theme Leader on Cross-border Mobility), Melissa Siegel (MACIMIDE Co-Director and Theme Leader on Migration and Development), and Maarten Vink (MACIMIDE Co-Director and Theme Leader on Citizenship and Immigrant Integration).
