Faculty Introduction Master Biomedical Sciences 2016

The Faculty Introduction is an introduction to studying at our faculty. Please note that the Faculty Introduction is compulsory for all students.

 

 

When you have already completed a bachelor’s program at Maastricht University, you are also required to participate in the Faculty Introduction.

The Faculty Introduction for the Master Biomedical Sciences will take place on Thursday 8 September 2016 (for new students only).

The programme for new students who have not completed their bachelor’s programme at Maastricht University will start in the morning on 8 September 2016 (around 9.00).
The social programme of the introduction for new students will continue on Monday 12 September 2016 in the evening after the last lecture. (Dinner&Pubquiz | Free of Charge)Students who completed their bachelor’s programme at Maastricht University are only expected to join the social programme of the introduction on Monday 12 September after the last lecture (Dinner&Pubquiz | Free of Charge)

Registration

It is required for all students to formally register for the Faculty Introduction by completing our online registration form . In case you are not able to participate, you are also required to complete this form and indicate a valid reason for not attending. Please also state if you would like to participate in the evening activity (pub quiz) for this introduction programme.

Overnight stay

In case you have not yet arranged for housing or a place to stay, you can book a room at hostel StayOK . Please note that the costs associated with an overnight stay are at your own expense. A discount of €2,50* is applicable when using the following code with your reservation: STAY2016MAA

Master application procedure

Make sure that you have completed your application at Maastricht University. This means that you have completed your application via Studielink and the MyUM portal and have uploaded all required documents. Also make sure to send a certified hard copy of your diploma to the Student Service Centre (SSC) and to pay your tuition fees. As soon as Maastricht University has completed your application, you will receive your Student Identity Card. You will need this card and your Maastricht University ID-number with password on various occasions during the Faculty Introduction.

Start academic year and course timetable

Course timetables for the master's programmes are available at the latest two weeks before the start of the academic year. Your personal timetable can be accessed via the Student Portal. Please note that education starts in the week of 5 September, except for the master in Biomedical Sciences, which starts in the week of 12 September.
