Deciphering CCCS: What is CCCS-learning and what do those letters really mean to you?

During this professional development activity, we invite UM teachers to collaborate on the creation of a set of cards on the CCCS principles.

Whether you're an experienced member of Maastricht University’s teaching staff or just getting started, we all remember those early days when the thought of meeting our first tutorial group or delivering our first lecture left us pondering the best strategies. Even with prior training, retaining relevant information can be challenging when the moment arrives.

That’s where EDLAB wants to step in by developing a comprehensive teaching toolbox to assist new teaching staff. This toolbox will include various physical resources, from icebreaker activities to informative content on Problem-Based Learning and more.

One of the tools under development is a set of cards explaining the Contextual Constructive Collaborative and Self-directed (CCCS) learning principles with practical examples.

To make these cards as useful as possible, we would like to invite both new and experienced UM staff to collaborate on the content and format of these cards. Your participation will contribute to a valuable resource for the UM teaching community, and offers you the opportunity to reflect on and refine these CCCS concepts in the specific context of Maastricht University. Plus, it may count towards your Continuing Professional Development (CPD) if relevant to your situation.
