FHML Education Prizes 2018

Every year, the FHML shows its appreciation of excellent performance of teaching staff by awarding yearly education prizes. With these prizes, FHML seeks to recognize staff members who excel in educational roles and in the development of educational programmes.

Per FHML domain (Biomedical Sciences, Medicine and Health), a prize is awarded for the best tutor and best module. Also, every domain acknowledges a staff member who has functioned in a special way according to their colleagues; these people receive an Honours Award.

  • Biomedical Sciences

     Best tutor: Arianne Elissen

     Best block/module: MBS 2001 (under supervision of Jan Theys and Ronit Sverdlov)

     Honours Award: Valéria Lima Passos

  • Health

     Best tutor: Johan Renes

     Best block/module: Timo Clemens got an award for his great work in organising and supervising the placements for the bachelor's in European Public Health, and the master's in Governance and Leadership in European Public Health

     Honours Award: Mariëlla Swinnen

  • Medicine

     Best tutor: Thomas Verlinden

     Best block/module: ITM 1103 Regulation and Integration (under supervision of Jos Broers)

     Honours Award: Frans van Nieuwenhoven
