Plans for Brightlands Campus Greenport Venlo presented
The Province of Limburg, Maastricht University and the municipalities of North Limburg presented their plans today for the Brightlands Campus Greenport Venlo.
A high-quality and open R&D institute will be created near the Villa Flora and the Innovatoren, which will focus on food, nutrition and health, with crossovers to logistics and the manufacturing industries. The campus hopes to excel in these areas and become an international hotspot. Maastricht University recently started setting up the first research programme in Villa Flora, namely, Healthy Eating and Food Innovation. With the arrival of BrightBox and BrightLabs, a new start has been made at developing several shared facilities for the campus and its innovation network. Several important decisions were recently made and will be submitted to the Limburg Parliament and the involved municipal councils. Read the full press release for more information.
