The morning symposium centered on 'action research', pioneered by Prof. Dr. Shyama V. Ramani, professor of Development Economics at UNU-MERIT. Prof. Ramani delivered a lecture and was also in the jury who awarded two UM students prizes consisting of €3,000 in cash and personal guidance by the professor.
