Dutch for immigrants and expats
The Language Centre offers programmes to prepare you for the NT2 State Exam, programme II: integration candidates with a higher level of education.
Note: unfortunately, we cannot accept new civic integration participants anymore. For more information on civic integration, please consult the website of your municipality. If you live in Maastricht, you can find more details at Sociale Zaken Maastricht Heuvelland.
Get the State Examination NT2 II
To achieve the B2 level required for the NT2 State Examination Programme II, you must complete the 6 modules: A1, A2, B1 minus, B1, B2 minus, and B2. Each module lasts seven weeks and starts five times a year: February, April, June, September, and November. You will be examined in all four skills, and only after passing the exam are you allowed to proceed to the next module.

Dienst Uitvoering Onderwijs (DUO)
When you have successfully completed all the language modules at the Language Centre you can take the NT2 State Exam and the other parts of the exam. The State Exam is organised by DUO.
- You can register at DUO for the exam.
- The integration programme supervisor will help you in your dealings with DUO (e.g., submitting invoices, applying for the State Exam).
- Note: DUO will lend you money, only if you are following a language course at a school with the Blik op Werk hallmark.

Books and dictionaries are not included in the prices and can be invoiced via DUO.
Blik op Werk-certified
In August 2017, the Language Centre received the final quality hallmark of the Blik op Werk Institute. This means that persons integrating into Dutch society can select language courses and integration courses from the Language Centre’s standard range of products. The Blik op Werk quality hallmark vouches for the basic qualities and reliability of service providers.

- After the interview, you’ll receive a personalised study programme. This programme advice is part of the quote for the programme.
- If you agree, you will receive a course contract that outlines the terms and conditions for your course.
- The course invoice will be sent to DUO. They will request your agreement. Please remember to sign the agreement and return it to DUO. We will send you a specification of the course costs.
