Squash

Squash is an explosive indoor racket sport, where players rely heavily on technique and tactics to outmanoeuvre their opponent. The University Sports Centre (USC) has three squash courts that can be reserved. For beginners and experienced players alike, we also offer squash courses. If you’re a student who is passionate about squash, Squash it up UM, our student squash association, is happy to have you join their team.

About squash

Squash is a dynamic indoor racket sport played by two or four players. This fast-paced game takes place in a four-walled court where players aim a small, hollow rubber ball at the front wall, directly or indirectly by using the back or side walls. The ball may bounce once on the floor before hitting back. For newcomers and those looking to refine their skills, registering for a squash course is highly recommended to ensure safety and proficiency.

Reserving a court

With three well-maintained squash courts at your disposal, UM SPORTS members with a ‘Sports’ or ‘All-in-one’ membership  or those with a day pass can reserve a court at no charge. All players on the court are required to have a qualifying membership or day pass to play.

Reserve a squash court online or at the USC front desk.
