How to use Zoom and join meetings

At this webpage you can find information about how to join Zoom meetings and how you install Zoom on your device.

 

 

Step by Step Instructions

Either:

Click on the Zoom link of your session. See here the Zoom links of all the sessions of the online UM Alumni Week. You will also find the meeting ID and password at this webpage in case you need this.

Or:

Go to join.zoom.us. Enter your meeting ID and password provided by us (see here). Click Join. When asked if you want to open zoom.us, click Allow. 

If joining from a mobile device

If you are joining from a mobile device (Android smartphone/tablet, Apple iPhone/iPad) then it will simply prompt you to download the Zoom Cloud Meetings app from the App/Play Store.

If joining from a computer

First time? When entering a Zoom meeting for the first time from a computer you will need to download a small application file.

Before joining a Zoom meeting on a computer (or mobile device), you can download the Zoom app from the Zoom Download Center. Otherwise, you will be prompted to Download and Install Zoom when you click a join link.

Join via telephone

If you are unable to join from Zoom on a computer or mobile device, then you can join on the telephone instead.

If you would like to attend a Zoom meeting via telephone within Europe please call the Europe number (check this link for up to date numbers https://zoom.us/zoomconference). Then enter the Meeting ID and Password (if required) when prompted.

Please note calls will be charged at standard national rates.

Using Chat

You can use the ‘Chat’ facility to send text chat to all participants or privately to specific participants.

Click on the ‘Chat’ icon in the tool bar, again hover your mouse over the Zoom window if you can’t see the tool bar.
