According to the jury, Louise Verboeket’s thesis deals with a socially relevant though largely unexplored area of law in an exemplary fashion. She has thus written a concrete and practical contribution to administrative law, which has already drawn attention from the Dutch Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis (CPB) and one of the top Dutch law journals (see NJB 2017/1698). Verboeket is currently writing a PhD thesis on public prizes at the Maastricht Faculty of Law.
