A successful Bachelor's Open Day

Last Saturday, on our Bachelor’s Open Day, we welcomed 3,600 prospective students who wanted to find out more about Maastricht University. The faculty information sessions were all very well attended, as were the information fair, the demonstrations and the Virtual Reality Lab.

Among the highlights were lectures by motivational speaker Donovan Livingston and by Hermien Miltenburg who advised parents on how to best support their children in choosing a study programme.

The Student Room Escape at the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences allowed participants to experience how busy and fun student life can be. Also popular were the green screen photo booths, the robot demonstrations and the quizzes.

This open day was the first to allow visitors to make use of the UM Open Day app, which we developed ourselves. Even though there were some teething problems, the app received a score of 8.3 (out of 10).

Our social media reporters were on site all day to capture the best moments, which you can see on our social media tag board.

The next Bachelor’s Open Day will take place on Saturday 24 February 2018.
