Roselinde Kessels (R.)

Welcome! I am associate professor of statistics and health econometrics at the Department of Data Analytics and Digitalization of Maastricht University. I have obtained my PhD at KU Leuven in Belgium. I teach basic and advanced analytical courses to business and economics students. Before joining Maastricht University, I was a postdoctoral researcher at North Carolina State University (US) and at the University of Antwerp sponsored by the Flemish Research Foundation (FWO), and also a lecturer at the Université Libre de Bruxelles and the University of Amsterdam.

My specialties lie in discrete choice experiments, experimental design, choice modeling, data science, time series and (health) econometrics. In my research I often make use of JMP statistical software from SAS Institute because it is fun to work with. I collaborate with PhD students, publish in many leading journals (see my ORCID publication list) and consult in the public and private sector.
