Dr Marko Jelicic (M.)

Marko Jelicic is professor of Neuropsychology and Law at the Faculty of Law and associate professor at the Faculty of Psychology and Neuroscience. He studied psychology at the University of Amsterdam and earned his PhD from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. Before coming to Maastricht, he worked in Glasgow, Toronto, Groningen and Amsterdam. Jelicic has published about crime-related amnesia, stress and the brain, the effect of brain damage on eyewitness memory, suspects with brain disorders and several other topics. He regularly serves as an expert witness for Dutch criminal courts.

At the Faculty of Law Jelicic coordinates the course "Forensic Psychopathology" (part of the master Forensics, Criminology, and Law) and at the Faculty of Psychology and Neuroscience he coordinates the course "Neuropsychology and Law" (an elective course in the 3rd year of the bachelor Psychology).
