The Maastricht Center for Robots is thrilled to announce the official launch of the "Social Robotics" project! This exciting initiative aims to enhance long-term care for individuals with mental disabilities.

MCR is collaborating with a consortium of organizations to bring regional implementation of social robotics to fruition. Partners include CZ zorgkantoor, Lectoraat Ondersteunende Technologie in de Zorg (Zuyd Hogeschool | Zuyd University of Applied Sciences), Robot Ctrl., Lunet, Kempenhaeghe, Koraal, Stichting Pergamijn, Stichting Radar, and WonenPlus.

Together with colleagues from Zuyd Hogeschool, MCR will examine the impact of social robots on clients, professionals and informal caregivers and follow this regional implementation closely. The research aims to contribute towards developing innovative solutions that can help improve the quality of care for individuals with mental disabilities. MCR is excited to see what can be accomplished collectively and how all partners can learn from and with each other.

This project has great meaning for MCR, and MCR is proud to be a part of it. The team at MCR is committed to advancing research and development in the field of robotics, and believes that social robotics has the potential to make a significant impact in the healthcare sector.

MCR looks forward to sharing updates on the progress as it is working towards the shared goal of improving care for individuals with mental disabilities. Follow the MCR LinkedIn page & website to stay tuned for more exciting developments from the Maastricht Center for Robots!
