EU recognizes the Maastricht customs law courses as "State-of-the-Art"

Very recently, the European Commission (DG TAXUD) has issued an official certification for the customs law courses which are taught at Maastricht University by Frank Nellen and Emma van Doornik since 2019-2020. The certificate, which is valid for 3 years, is a very welcome quality recognition that underlines the growing importance of customs law. In addition, it will have a positive attraction for prospective students. The certified courses (Customs Law and Advanced Customs Law) are part of the specialization 'Customs en International Supply Chain Taxation' within the Master International and European Tax Law.

More information on the courses can be found here (https://www.maastrichtuniversity.nl/education/master/master-international-and-european-tax-law-specialisation-customs-and-international). General information on the European Commission's certification program can be found here (https://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/eu-recognition-state-art-customs-academic-programmes_en#heading_0).

Naturally, the tax law department is very happy with this development.
