Post-graduate education

In 1998, Annemie Schols started a foundation for Postgraduate Education in the Netherlands to accelerate new scientific insights from nutrition and metabolism to clinical care (MINT institute; www.mintonline.org). This contributed to higher awareness and clinical interest in metabolic perspectives for disease management. Annemie Schols currently offers her expertise and MINT infrastructure as mentor to facilitate others at Maastricht UMC+ to organize timely meetings and events within this scope.
