Cybersecurity
Cybercriminals are threatening IT infrastructures and (personal) data constantly nowadays. Maastricht University has already been a cybercrime victim in 2019 and this worldwide threat will continue to affect UM now and in the future. At a central level UM has taken measures to prevent, to detect and to respond to these criminal activities. This is a 24/7 activity.
However, cybersecurity is not only about technology. Cybersecurity is about how we humans deal with technology and data. It is important to be aware of cyberthreats and to use all digital facilities safely. Especially at a time when most of us are working in a hybrid setting, at work, from home and even on the road. Awareness is also a 24/7 activity!

Questions?
In addition to this general information it is important to know where to find help if needed. You can always contact ICTS or visit their selfservice page for more information, but most of the time you can ask for specific help or advice from your local support team or the Information Manager (IM) at your business unit.
